I've been exiled from my inner-home - my peace has been taken from me. Peace is valuable, like fine jewelry - like having a piece of the physical universe land in the palms of your hands. Holding starlight from your fingertips. I light a candle to withhold that peace - all to myself, for it is mine to keep. By replenishing the root - the Root being my inner-home, my peace, I do what I've always done to survive.. I decorate. I create these altars for myself to hold on to when I'm fearing that the end is near - even when I have accepted that fear to be true.
